Welcome to pflag London, Ontario!

pflag believes in love and acceptance for everyone, with that in mind we strive to support individuals, family members and friends of people who are struggling with or questioning their sexual orientation or gender identification.

We hold a monthly support group where everyone is always welcome as well as provide peer support as needed. We also host the annual International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transhobia event every year and participate in a variety of 2SLGBTQIA+ events that happen around London Ontario.

About Us

pflag London ON, is a local chapter of pflag Canada and is a volunteer-run, registered charitable organization. Through support, education and advocacy, we work to create a more accepting society for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and their families, friends and allies.

pflag London helps all members of our community who are struggling with issues of their sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. We also support, educate and provide resources to parents, families, friends, and colleagues with questions or concerns regarding these issues.

Quite often, our compassionate volunteers are contacted by frightened adolescents and by angry, fearful or confused parents and family members from all walks of life who have questions or concerns about sexual orientation or gender identity. We are there for those in need when it seems no one else is!

pflag London chapter is overseen by a Board of Governance.

pflag London is a chapter of the national charity organization pflag Canada.

Our Meetings!

pflag London is your soft place to land when someone you love or yourself are struggling with coming out and living out. Our volunteer facilitators have walked the same path you’re on, bringing with them warmth, knowledge, and understanding.

Each facilitator has had peer facilitation training and Mental Health First Aid training. All volunteers have had vulnerable sector screens for working with youth and other vulnerable populations.

pflag London offers five support meetings each month to meet you or your loved ones needs. Find the group that’s right for you!

pflag Parents and Caregivers

pflag Parents and Caregivers is for any parent or caregiver who has had a child come out to them. Often when a child (either adult or youth) comes out, it means changes for the whole family. Our dreams and expectations, for our child change. Sometimes we feel sadness, anger, grief, but also joy, excitement and wonder. All of these feelings can happen simultaneously. This group is a safe space to work through all the negative feelings and celebrate the positive ones. All feelings are valid, respected and understood.

pflag Queerdos

Queerdos is an 18+ group for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Living out can come with a lot of challenges, join in with others as we deep dive into sexuality, gender, and navigating a heterosexual, cisgender world. This group is a wealth of knowledge, resources and community. Our facilitators are members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and are committed to making life easier for all folx coming out and living out.

pflag Youth Jr. and Sr.

Are you a youth between 7 and 17? These groups are just for you! Our pflag youth team work extremely hard at organizing and planning activities for the youngest members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The two groups are organized according to age and maturity levels. All of the facilitators are members of either the queer or trans community (sometimes both!). Activities are geared for the interests and ages of youth involved.

pflag Partners

pflag Partners is a group for individuals who have had a long term partner come out during their relationship. Partners is solely an online group as members join us from all over Canada and the United States. When a partner comes out, it changes every aspect of the relationship. This group is very different from many of the online groups you will find. We understand (and respect) that our partners did not choose to be part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and that coming out was the hardest thing they’ve had to do. This space is designed to let you examine your feelings while being supported by others who are in the same life situation. This is not a group designed to keep couples together (or to break up!). Join us each month for laughter, understanding, friendship, and allyship.
