Community Engagements

Throughout the year we conduct a variety of workshops and participate in various community events. Wherever we go, we love when people introduce themselves, share their stories or ask questions. We’re always ready to offer help and support.

You will find PFLAG London ON participates in a number of LGBT2Q+ community events, including the annual Pride London Festival, International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia, Trans Remembrance Day and more.

Our volunteers are always happy to meet new people and to connect those in need with support and resources.

About the Prom Queen: The Musical

Prom Queen: The Musical tells the true story of Marc Hall, a teenager who in 2002 wanted to bring his boyfriend to the school prom. A celebration of young people standing proudly for themselves, this award-winning production features 50 students onstage and another 30 backstage, bringing an authentic voice to a remarkable story. The High School Project is an acclaimed mentorship program unique in North America. This year will mark the first time the project brings a new Canadian musical to stage. Prom Queen was originally developed through Sheridan College's Canadian Music Theatre Project (Come From Away). The production had its world premiere at Montreal's Segal Centre for the Performing Arts in a held-over run and was presented at New York's National Alliance of Musical Theater's New Musical Festival.
